Statewide approval, not the Miami-Dade route

Pasco County sits outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, which covers Miami-Dade and Broward only. Impact products here qualify under statewide Florida Product Approval rather than requiring a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance. The approved range is wider and the same protection generally costs less than it would in Miami. The standard is not looser: the design pressure is still calculated for your opening, on your elevation, at your address, and the approval documents still go in with the permit.
