The City of Atlantis issues its own permits
Atlantis is incorporated and has its own building department, so the permit is filed with the City rather than with Palm Beach County — even though the surrounding addresses off Lantana Road and Congress Avenue are a mix of Lantana, Lake Worth and unincorporated county, each of which files somewhere else. A quote that names the wrong counter has not been priced properly, because the review queue and the inspection scheduling are not the same in each. We confirm the jurisdiction from the parcel before quoting rather than from the mailing address, which in this part of the county is frequently misleading.
Palm Beach County sits outside the HVHZ
Atlantis is in Palm Beach County, which is outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone covering Miami-Dade and Broward. It also means non-standard rough openings are common, and we measure every opening individually and order to size rather than forcing a stock unit into a hole it does not fit.
Doors in Atlantis
The rear sliders onto the golf course are the largest openings in most of these houses and the ones carrying the most load, which makes panel configuration a structural decision rather than a styling one. Wide three and four panel runs are common and are settled against the product approval and the header condition together.
